FAA 107 Remote Pilot Certification

Requirements for UAV 107 License:

  1. Eligibility Criteria:

    • Minimum age of 16.

    • Proficiency in English.

    • Physical and mental capability to operate a drone safely.

  2. Knowledge Test:

    • Pass the "Unmanned Aircraft General – Small (UAG)" exam.

    • Study FAA-provided materials.

  3. Application Process:

    • Obtain an FAA Tracking Number (FTN) via Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) profile.

    • Schedule and take the knowledge test at an FAA-approved center.

    • Complete FAA Form 8710-13 for a remote pilot certificate.

  4. Registration:

    • Register drone with the FAA for $5, valid for 3 years.

    • Label drone with registration number.

  5. Recurrency:

    • Complete online recurrent training every 24 months for knowledge recency.
